The Jupyter Viewer for Confluence macros are included in page content and will be preserved during a Cloud-to-Cloud (C2C) migration in Confluence Cloud.
However, there are a few important considerations to ensure macros render correctly after migration.
Migration Steps
-
Install the app on the destination Confluence Cloud site
-
Configure a GitHub Access Token (Only if applicable)
-
If you’ve configured a GitHub token to access Jupyter notebooks hosted in private GitHub repositories, be aware that this data will not migrate automatically.
To check if you have a token configured in the old Confluence site:
-
Go to Confluence administration → Apps → Jupyter Viewer for Confluence.
-
Review the configuration section to see if anything is listed.
-
If nothing is configured, you're all set , no action needed.
-
If you do have a token configured, you’ll need to re-configure it manually in the target Confluence site.
-
-
-
Run the C2C Migration
Expected Behavior
-
App macros are included in migrated page content
-
Macros will render correctly once the app is installed and configured on the target site
