We support cloud-to-cloud migration for the Viewtracker app, but this is not visible in the app's frontend. Our team migrates tracking data on request.
Once you migrated your Confluence spaces from your existing cloud site to the new one, please contact us. We will then migrate the tracked content views data for you, provided the conditions below are met.
Requirements for the migration
-
Same data residency for Viewtracker on both sites
The Viewtracker app data residency must be identical on the source and target instances.
If this is not the case, first request a data residency move as described here. -
Content synchronization on the target instance
After migrating the spaces to the target site, run a content synchronization for Viewtracker on the target instance:-
Before running the synchronization, make sure that 24 hours have passed since you migrated/imported the spaces.
-
This waiting period allows Confluence to finish reindexing the site.
Viewtracker’s Sync job relies on the Confluence Search API, which only works correctly after this reindexing is complete.
-
What you need to do
-
Migrate your spaces from the old Confluence Cloud instance to the new one.
-
Ensure the requirements above are fulfilled.
-
Contact us and provide:
-
Source site URL
-
Target site URL
(e.g.https://yourcompany.atlassian.net)
-
After you completed the tasks above and notified us, we will migrate your Viewtracker tracking data from the source site to the target site.
