Data Residency for Communardo Cloud apps

📁 App Data Residency

This page explains how data residency works for Communardo Cloud apps and how it relates to Atlassian Cloud data residency.

It is intended for administrators who need to understand:

  • where app-related data can be hosted, and

  • where to find the current data residency status for each app.

☁️ Data residency in Atlassian Cloud

Atlassian defines data residency and supported locations for its cloud products.
For the latest and most complete information, see:

For Marketplace apps, Atlassian distinguishes between:

  • apps that support pinning app data to a specific location, and

  • apps that currently do not support pinning but may still store data in specific regions.

🔍 How to check data residency for a Communardo Cloud app

To find the data residency options for a specific Communardo app:

  1. Open the app’s listing in the Atlassian Marketplace.

  2. Go to the Privacy & security tab.

  3. Check the Data residency section for the currently supported locations and behaviour.

If you need additional details, consult the app’s documentation or raise a request via our support portal.

🔒 Communardo’s approach to data residency

For all Communardo Cloud apps, we aim to:

  • Align with Atlassian’s data residency capabilities and roadmap, and

  • Provide clear information about where app data is stored and processed.

Depending on the app and underlying technology, data residency can mean:

  • Pinning app data to specific Atlassian-supported regions (for example, EU or US), or

  • Configuring where certain app-managed data is hosted (for example, via an app-specific setting).

The exact behaviour differs per app. Always refer to the app’s Privacy & Security tab in the Atlassian Marketplace and the app documentation for details.

In some apps, especially those built around data residency as a core feature, you can configure the storage location of sensitive data directly in the app configuration. In these cases, the app documentation describes all available options in detail.
