Use this procedure to get a usage report without opening the Viewtracker reports and setting filters. You describe what you want to know, and the agent returns a tabled report.
Ask a question in Rovo Chat
-
Open the Confluence page or space you want to ask about. The agent uses it as the default scope.
-
Open Rovo Chat.
-
Select the Viewtracker Agent from the agent list.
-
Enter your question in plain language, for example: "List the top 20 most viewed pages in this space for the last 30 days".
-
In the agent’s answer, read the parameters listed above the result. They show the scope, date range, filters, and sorting the agent used, including any defaults it applied.
-
Review the table listing the results.
-
You can now:
-
Refine or filter the report in a follow-up message, for example: "Compare that to the previous period".
-
If you need help interpreting the displayed values and numbers, ask about them in the chat, and Rovo will provide you with possible interpretations and, if desired, recommended actions.
-
If you have not used the agent before, start with one of the three conversation starters in the chat window:
-
What is the most viewed content
-
Summarize key metrics for this page
-
Give me a performance overview for this space
Start from a Viewtracker report
-
Open a Viewtracker report.
-
Click Ask Agent.
-
Enter your prompt, specifying the exact content or scope you wish to analyze (e.g., page, space, or date range).
If you don't provide a target context, the agent will prompt you for content or spaces before running the analysis. -
Continue the conversation in Rovo Chat as described above.
The agent returns the requested tabled report, preceded by the parameters it used and followed by available options. You can keep refining the same report in the conversation, or ask for a different one.
Tips
-
Change one parameter at a time. You do not need to repeat the full prompt.
-
By default, the Viewtracker Agent displays period-over-period comparison data as percentage changes. If you need exact counts or net differences, request absolute values explicitly in your prompt
-
For the prompts, options, and output of each report, see What the Viewtracker Agent can do.
-
If your prompt leaves out something the agent needs and cannot derive from the page you are on, the agent asks for it.
-
If a report takes longer than 25 seconds, the agent returns a query ID. See Get a Viewtracker Agent report for a large data set.
-
To receive a report repeatedly without asking for it, see Schedule a recurring Viewtracker report with Atlassian Automation.
