Meridian People & Skills Hub

Does the app send our content to an AI?

Yes, and it stays inside Atlassian. Meridian People & Skills Hub derives skills with Atlassian's own AI service inside Forge, which runs on Atlassian infrastructure. No content is sent to an Elevatic server, and none is sent to a third-party AI provider.

What the AI sees

  • From a Jira issue, the summary, the description and the comments

  • From a Confluence page, the page content

The app passes this to the AI service at the moment it derives skills, and only then.

What happens to the content afterwards

Nothing is kept. The app stores the skill name, its level, and a reference to the work the skill came from, so an issue key or a page identifier. It never stores the text itself. See What data does the app store?.

What the AI decides, and what it doesn't

The AI proposes a skill and a level. It doesn't decide whether either one stays.

  • In Strict Compliance mode, a suggestion waits until the person accepts or rejects it. See Review your suggested skills

  • In Maximum Velocity mode, skills arrive on the profile directly. The person can still change a level and remove a skill, which also blocks it from coming back

The AI never invents people. Expert search and the Skills Navigator agent work only with skills that are already on profiles, so nobody is recommended for a skill they don't hold.
