Meridian People & Skills Hub

Who can see my skills and my evidence?

Your skills are visible to your colleagues. Your evidence is visible only as far as their own permissions reach.

Skills and levels

Everyone who can open Meridian People & Skills Hub can see the skills on your profile and the level for each of them. That is the point of the app: Colleagues find you through those skills, in expert search, in skills coverage, in the panel on a Jira issue, and through the Skills Navigator agent.

Not everyone on your site can open it — see Who takes part in the hub. Someone the app does not serve sees none of this and holds no profile of their own.

Your profile is read-only for everyone but you. Nobody else can change a level, add a skill, or remove one.

Evidence

The evidence behind a skill is filtered per viewer. When someone opens it, the app loads each Jira issue and Confluence page with that person's permissions. An item they may not open does not appear, and if they can open none of them, the app says that no accessible evidence can be shown.

So a colleague sees that you have a skill, but not necessarily which restricted work led to it. See Check the evidence behind a skill.

Suggestions and blocked skills

Suggestions that you have not accepted, and skills you blocked, are yours alone. Neither appears on your profile for other people.

Admins

Admins have no separate view of your data. They choose the profile population mode and see the same profiles as everyone else.
