🤔 Problem
The custom fields for work items in one or more spaces are not synchronized, but in some, they are.
🧐 Cause
User Profiles for Jira does not have Edit issues permission on the spaces to update the custom fields.
🌱 Solution
Grant the necessary permissions to User Profiles for Jira. To achieve this, you have the following options:

The first option is to assign the Edit Issues permission to the atlassian-addons-project-access space role, which grants permission for all installed apps. Without modification, this would be the Jira default.

Alternatively, the Edit Issues permission can be granted to the atlassian-addons-admin group, which grants permission for all apps with global administrator permissions.

Finally, the Edit Issues permission can be assigned to a single user, Upj Cloud, exclusively for our app. The Upj Cloud user is automatically created by Jira when User Profiles for Jira is installed.
By implementing any of the methods, User Profiles for Jira will have the required permissions to update custom fields on work items, which is essential for meeting their needs and ensuring smooth functionality.
If you do not want that custom fields are synchronized for certain spaces, you can remove the link of the custom fields to those spaces via Atlassians standard configuration options. More about that topic can be found at How to control which spaces synchronize user information?.
