Custom fields created with the User Profiles for Jira (Microsoft Attributes Sync) app can be used in company-managed and team-managed spaces. This applies to Jira Software, Jira Work Management, and Jira Service Management.
The app synchronizes user information across all work items in the spaces where the field is available. Jira controls this with field schemes. A custom field created by the app is not linked to a field scheme automatically. To make the field available in a space, you must link it to that space. Sites that do not use field schemes yet
On these sites, the context of the field controls where the app synchronizes user information. By default, all fields created through the app are added to the global context, which makes them available on all work items. Therefore, you can use these custom fields in any space.
