Filtering date fields does not work as expected

Problem

I have added a filter to the Metadata Overview macro that includes a Date metadata field. I have selected "Any date" or "Last 24 hours"/ .../"Last year" as a range. When I click "Preview" or "Save," the result shows pages where the date field value is outside the given range.

Solution

Metadata uses Confluence functionality that does not account for future Metadata dates. Searching for past dates can therefore yield incorrect results.

To avoid this, please use the option "Custom" to define a date range.
