The default Metadataset value will not be added to a new page

Problem

Since Confluence version 6.7.0, the Metadataset cannot be added when creating a new page.

But it works with all Confluence versions below 6.7.0.

Solution

When creating a new Confluence page, you need to enable Collaborative Editing Mode.

So we check the Collaborative Editing status:

1. Navigate to the general configuration

2. Next, navigate via the Administration context to Collaborative Editing

3. And now we can change the mode

The problem is solved for the modes "On" and "Limited".

Workaround

You can also solve the problem as follows:

1. Create a new page and save it

2. Edit the page and add the Metadataset
