1. Before you start

Step 1 - Prepare the DC App

To prepare the app for the migration, please follow the steps in the User Profiles for Confluence — Preparation Guide ↗.

In general, only our app’s macros are prepared for migration, and currently, only the most important macros. We are continually working to expand the app’s capabilities, and this documentation provides insights into the macros that can be successfully migrated.

Once completed, you can proceed to step 2.

Step 2 - Install app on Cloud

Proceed with the installation of the app directly from the Atlassian Marketplace - User Profiles for Confluence Cloud ↗

If you would like more information about app installation in the Cloud, please consult the relevant documentation - Manage your apps in Atlassian Cloud ↗ .

Once the app is installed, open the app configuration and proceed to the next step.

Step 3 - Configure app on Cloud

To properly set up the cloud app, please configure Microsoft 365 access using the instructions in the following documentation - Configure Microsoft 365 Access ↗.

As of the current version, our cloud version exclusively supports Microsoft Entra ID (previously Azure AD) as the User Directory. To consider migrating to Cloud, your organization should already use, or plan to use, Microsoft Entra ID for identity management.

Once the connection is established, please proceed to the next step.

2. Run the migration

To correctly execute the app migration, please refer to the official Atlassian documentation.

As an app vendor, we perform app vendor checks before you proceed with the migration. For this app, spaces that contain unprepared macros will be flagged ( warning ) during the migration assistant checks.

To make sure your spaces and macro are prepared, please follow the instructions in the Before you start - Step 1

3. After the Migration

Verify data integrity

Go to the newly migrated spaces in the cloud and verify that your pages and supported macros are displayed correctly.
