🤔 Problem
The organization chart only shows the users themselves, not their superiors, employees, or peers.
🌱 Solution
Go through the following questions:
-
Is the "Manager" field set in the Administration, as depicted in the Organization Charts screenshot? We recommend selecting the "Manager" field for clarity rather than other user fields.
-
Check the configuration of the Manager field (via Confluence Administration - User Profile Configuration). In the Field Type Configuration section, ensure the field type is set to "Userfield" and that the checkbox for "The field value is a DN reference to the user" is checked. Are both these settings present?
-
Is the Manager field also synchronized with the Active Directory?
-
Please check that the Manager field for all users is populated with valid users (or, for testing purposes, ensure that the users you want to display are part of a sensible hierarchy based on the values in the Manager field).
-
Please check, depending on the macro you are using, either the values for "Levels of Parents" and "Levels of Children" or "Maximal Level of Children". You have to set the values to at least "1" to see any parents/children.
