People Directory: Filtering for terms with umlauts in standard elements does not work after adjusting indexing language

🤔 Problem

Scenario:

• User A has a term with an umlaut in a standard Confluence profile element

  • example: term "Bürogestaltung" in the field Department

• In the People Directory, the field and term are used for filtering

  • example: "Department" as filter, "Bürogestaltung" as value

• User A should be contained in the search results, but is not

🧐 Cause

Most likely, the Confluence indexing language was changed without restarting Confluence.
